Uzoamaka is a postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Paul S. Bernstein, MD, PhD. She is Nigerian and come to the US to pursue her studies. She completed her PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Utah in August 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Bernstein where she first-authored two peer-reviewed publications as well as co-authored some others. Her research interests include studing the roles of very long chain fatty acids in photereceptor health and degeneration.

When she is not working on her research, she spends her time reading blogs, trying new food, and walking.
